 Lakes Entrance Community Health Centre (LECHC) provides a wide range of health and welfare services to all people within the community of  East Gippsland. Health is seen in its broadest sense as a resource for the enhancement of everyday quality of life.

Lakes Entrance Community Health Centre is overseen by a Board of Mangement responsible for the overall direction and policies of the service, aims:
 

  • Provide primary health and welfare services, and promote a preventative and educative approach to health and welfare issues. 
  • Promote a multidisciplinary approach to community health through team work and cooperation with other health and welfare providers. 
  • Encourage the development of responsibility for the individual's, family's and community's health and well being. 
  • Encourage those in necessitous circumstances to have access to the range of health and welfare services provided. 
  • Encourage members of the local community to participate in the planning, management and delivery of health and welfare services. 
  • Be responsive to individual and community needs through continuing research and education. 
  • Be accountable to the local community and to funding bodies. 
  • Have ongoing evaluation as an integral part of the service.
