Entrance Community Health Centre
(LECHC) provides a wide range of health and welfare services to all people
within the community of East Gippsland. Health is seen in its broadest
sense as a resource for the enhancement of everyday quality of life.
Lakes Entrance
Community Health Centre is overseen by a Board of
Mangement responsible for the overall direction and policies of the
service, aims:

Provide primary
health and welfare services, and promote a preventative and educative approach
to health and welfare issues.

Promote a multidisciplinary
approach to community health through team work and cooperation with other
health and welfare providers.

Encourage the
development of responsibility for the individual's, family's and community's
health and well being.

Encourage those
in necessitous circumstances to have access to the range of health and
welfare services provided.

Encourage members
of the local community to participate in the planning, management and delivery
of health and welfare services.

Be responsive
to individual and community needs through continuing research and education.

Be accountable
to the local community and to funding bodies.

Have ongoing
evaluation as an integral part of the service.
